Belongas Bay Dive Sites

The various Belongas Bay dive sites are known for the mobula and eagle ray seasons during August and September each year. The hammerheads also school at Belongas Bay from May until October each year.

Among the various Belongas dive sites, “The Magnet” is usually considered the more popular one, but it is also the more challenging one. The dive site can be reached within about half an hour. The spot is around 80 meters deep and divers can experience a great variety of marine life including Tuna and Barracuda, as well as occasionally a school of Hammerheads.

Scuba diving Belongas at the “Cathedral” also offers divers a truly amazing experience at a fantastic pinnacle which two main peaks rise up from 50 meters depth. The spot features Tuna, the “Great Barracuda” and also Mackerel, as well as many other beautiful specimens that can only be seen underwater.

A third signature Belongas dive site is named “Gili Sarang”. This dive site features a wide variety of marine life from macro to pelagic and the white tip reef shark and trevallies are huge. Here divers can experience colorful corals, as well as a variety of big fish species as well as be amazed by the schooling mobula rays during August and September.
